Watermelon Smoothie

Watermelon, pineapple and banana make a nutritious trio and a deliciously sweet smoothie recipe. It’s also a great way to use up watermelon in the summer months. 

Watermelon is most commonly known as a hydrating fruit and a good source of Vitamin A and Vitamin B6. Combining watermelon with bananas and pineapple adds in a variety of important vitamins, as well as the added benefits of essential electrolytes and minerals.

Adding chia and hemp seeds give the smoothie recipe omega-3 fatty acids, high quality protein and fiber to improve digestive health. These ingredients round out this fruit trio to make this smoothie a complete meal in itself.

Watermelon Smoothie Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup diced seedless watermelon
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 ripe banana 
  • 2 tablespoons hemp seeds 
  • 1 tablespoon chia
  • 1 tablespoon goji berries

Watermelon Smoothie Directions: 

  1. In a blender, puree all ingredients on high until creamy. 
  2. Serve immediately. 
  3. Makes 2 servings.
